Every summer, thousands of brands flock to the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City, hoping to be one of the new "it" gourmet ingredients or superfood snacks hungry consumers clamor to buy, eat and repeat.

And while there were products from Morocco, Italy, Spain, Korea and beyond at this year's trade show, put on by the Specialty Food Association, some companies didn't have to travel very far to woo supermarket buyers and food industry pros.

That's right – more than 165 New Jersey brands were at the show, according to economic development group Choose New Jersey, and for the first time ever, New Jersey products even had their own aisle. We scoped out the best of them so you can get in on the hottest trends and shop local, all at the same time.

Cheese lovers are going to flip for this one: Edison-based Lotito Foods' new Folios line, which are wraps made completely from cheddar, Parmesan or Jarlsberg cheese. Lightly baked, these sheets can also be used as roll-ups or edible bowls (think taco bowls). They're gluten-free, high in protein and the cheese is made from cows not treated with growth hormone rBST.
